Stomach aches, lack of apetite!?
This started last december when i used to get really bad heartburn from food, usually chinese or garlic foods. However this stopped after a few months. Now however, in the last 2 months I have a lack of apetite sometimes I have to force my self to eat and I have pains in my lower stomach. It gets particularly bad a night time. Anyone know what this may be. I will see a doctor in a few weeks once i get home (I'm away studying at the moment) but just wondered if anyone has an idea what may be wrong. Thanks.
I'm 23 years of age...

Allergic Reaction to Garlic supplements...?
I recently started taking garlic supplements largely for their bug repellent factor, but also for other health benefits. A few days after I began, I got an itchy rash of small bumps on the back of my legs and inside of my elbows. I can't think of anything other than the garlic that has changed in my routine. Could it be the garlic even though I've never had a reaction to garlic food? If it is the supplement could it be that particular brand or should I swear off garlic pills all together. I'm using Kwai Odder-less Garlic One a Day Tablets. Thanks for any help you can provide.

How to Lose Weight/ Eat Better.?
Hello.
Hey, I just wondered if anyone here could help me out with my weight problem.
I am black, about 5'3", 138 lbs. Average waist with larger than average hips and bust (Last time I got measured, I was 39-29-40 or something like that) which I have been a bit worried about. Over the past few months, I have been gaining weight, but I do not see where it is going (I do not have a muffin top, and I cannot see one forming). My mother recently commented on my weight and eating habits and recommended that I change my ways. However, old habits die hard and eating right seems like a bit of a stretch for me.
As far as athletics go, I am somewhat active. I play some sort of physical sport at least once a week, usually volleyball but since the season is over, I have usually had to settle on weight lifting or taking a walk. I have been told to go running with a few friends, but I do not like it.
As for eating habits, I am a typical teenager. I consume all sorts of junk food and sweets. I eat way more meats than vegetables and prefer a few cookies to a fruit. I also consume a lot of sodium in the form of soy sauce and teriyaki foods. Here is a rundown of foods I like and dislike:
Foods Like: Sugar, Eggs, Chocolate, Rice (Plain, not seasoned) Pork, Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Most fruit, Breads, carrots, celery, onions, shiitake mushrooms, sushi, curry, mochi, daifuku, red bean paste, foods flavored with green tea, turnips, spinach, potatoes, crab, prawns, garlic.
Foods I Generally Detest: Grapes, tomatoes, corn, fish, any other mushroom that isn't shiitake, squash.
Notes about my health-
*From time to time (on a semi-weekly basis) I lose my appetite for days at a time. During this time I will go without eating. This me forcing myself to stop, I just lose all desire to eat (the thought of eating makes me feel sick) eventually, I regain the desire to eat.
* On a normal day, this is what I eat:
Breakfast- Eggs in a basket and an ensure or sugar cereal or a chocolate chocolate chip muffin.
Lunch- A Coke Zero and 2 Rice Crispies or a Candy bar, a bag of baked chips and a snickers, or the usual school lunch.
Dinner- Often skipped. But usually something fried (chicken, pork chops ect) a starchy side and mac and cheese.
*The reason why I have been skipping dinner is because my mother has refused to give up fried foods for major meals, and insist that cooking them in olive oil negates the trans fats. She is stuck in her old ways and tells me that if I want to eat something else, then I have to make it myself, or go without. At the same time, she tells me that I need to stop eating sugary foods.
Based on what I gave you, is there any way I can redeem myself and begin losing weight? Are there any recipes I can replace my food schedule with?
