Iraqi restaurants outside US military bases?.?

Either a good money opportunity or a really dumb idea....
Do you think Iraqi food and restaurants will be popular outside of US Military bases? Nearly every Army base has several Korean restaurants/ Air Force has Thai/ and Navy has Filipino eateries. Toss in some German deli's too. Every time we go to war or OCONUS, we bring back foreign born wives and open ethnic restaurants. Do you think this will happen with Iraqi (or Afghani) style restaurants being popular outside the base/post? When deployed, does anyone get a chance to eat 'on the economy or local snack stand? Do the FOBs have representative food stalls (like the Katusa snack bars in ROK?). Is the food tasty for GI's?

Soldiers only go off post for missions, they don't eat off post.

Korea/Germany are duty stations where when you are not working, you can go off post. Iraq is a war zone where soldiers are restricted to base.

I had some tea, and a pizza and bread at an Iraq Police station, and some sodas....thats about the extent of it though

Everyone has to eat. Did you ever taste the military ready made meals? My spoiled dog won't eat them (for real)!

I went to the ones with the fewest bombs in them. Service sucked but the food was OK.

Who really gives a rat's @s&##?? Look at this w/ a degree of logic here: With hot wars against terrorism and Hussein loyal murderous "insurgents" in Iraq.....do you really believe a off US base restaurant, featuring foods Saddam, Quadaffi and Osama bin Laden all finds deee-lish, will really fare well w/ US citizens and military troops?

It's natural that iraqi cuisine will spring up outside bases since that's what happens w/ just about every country the u.s. went to war w/. I wouldn't be suprised to see iraqui restaraunts popping up around california as a start after the u.s. continues to occupy iraq for at least 10-15 years. Then it will become mainstream. Just needs time and acceptance. Right now people are too confused. That's why this pointless fiasco still continues and Bush is still in office. Perhaps good, iraqui cuisine is the best thing the u.s.a. will come back w/ from Iraq. So sad that both the u.s. military personnel and iraqi civilians are dying w/ the best outcome being future food acceptance + filling the pockets of the big wigs in the oil industry.
