It it true about Indian/Arab/Persian restaurants ?

that they give smaller portions, because the food is heavier in spice than most Western food, and people over here arent used to the spices.
Theres an indian and an arab restaurant in town, and they both give you smaller portions of food.
Thats just what I heard.

I believe what you call small portions are "tapas" like starters (meze)
